My waist size is Equator.
At work I sit next to everybody.
When I jump for joy I get stuck.
When I fell in love, I broke it.
My own shadow weighs forty pounds.
According to others, that's how fat I am.
I've heard them all. I've even heard the indirect comments like:
( immigrant accent ) " Eeeee! You big boy euuuuhhh ? ".
Over the years I've learned to just nod and smile. But, let's be honest here:
every single comment you have to swallow,
every time you try on clothes at a store,
every time you step on a scale and see the number getting bigger instead of smaller,
the normally very faint voice in the back of your head is suddenly very loud and hard to ignore.
That voice joins the chorus of those in your life who degrade you because of your weight.
True, most people bring you down so they can in turn feel elevated but, the only reason you are the butt of their jokes is because of the obvious fact: you're overweight.
Well that is all going to change. This is the promise I am making to myself and to anyone who cares to read this blog: By September 24th of 2011, my wedding day, I will have lost 100lbs.
This is literally a "do or die" scenario.
Either I DO lose this weight either I DIE. ( Doctor's words )
So over the next 53 weeks, I will be tracking my progress through this blog and on my twitter page.
Also, expect to see video entries of me sweating my ass off.
This blog will not only serve as a means of staying motivated.
I intend to use this as a tool to break out of my bubble of insecurities by exposing myself to anyone and everyone. Yes, I am picturing everyone naked ( they say it's a great to way overcome the nervousness of public speaking and I equate this with that to some extent ).
I also hope to inspire others who are in a similar situation.
If you feel the uncontrollable urge to contribute more fat jokes, you may do so by emailing me.

And it begins
No one is seeing this as I post it but, I hope that this will change.
Purpose of this blog:
To, allow anyone who wishes, track my progress as I begin the long journey of losing my excess body weight.
All 100 pounds of it.
So if you stumbled upon this, there's nothing to look at yet but, that will change.
Not sure on the format. Working on that.
